New Orleans Wedding Planning... Real Budgets

So today we have had an interesting day. We had two brides on a pretty tight budget. We talked, I got a vision for what they wanted. we sealed the deal and then we talked. Both of my brides said they weren't able to identify with the things in the magazine's because it didn't fit their budget. Our question is just because you have a small budget, does that mean you shouldn't see what you like in print. Normal people like to spend between $10-15,000 on a budget. This will NOT TRANSFORM A ROOM. lol but it will get you good food, a great photographer, a good dj (which is really important), some beautiful bouquets and well a great time had by all.

It's important to set a budget and stick to it. If you want more be honest with yourself and look at either getting a second job or asking a great aunt for the money. Lol but be honest. Nothing worse than going into debt over a day. Remember it's about the marriage not the wedding.

So what have we learned today... if you have a a budget of $15,000 or less you probably can't afford the decor you see in the magazines, REAL TALK. Get a budget and stick to it. And Be Honest with your self, insert your Wedding Planner, be honest with you and your planner. The reason why you hired them is so they could help you make your dreams come true, LET THEM.

One of the things I love the most is simple weddings.... Here are a few pictures of weddings or events that I LOVE!
This is one of our weddings... We planned it in two weeks, they had great food (shout out to WeYams Catering)
beer and wine, a free dj, and a great cake (Shout out to Nikki's Frosted Fantasies!
Simple and Perfect for them!

Notice the candles... They are just on the wood table, not in a cylinder,
no flowers, or petals... JUST CANDLES... gorgeous!

This is gorgeous... If you are going to do it... GET IT DONE! LOVE IT!

Who needs a photobooth when you can take your own pictures
with a Polaroid! LOL I love it!

Now this is simple and beautiful. The linen and chairs make the table...
Of course the water is the staple! So gorgeous!

A lot of simple pieces of glasses... simple... rustic... festive!!!
